About Bindi

Meet Bindi — A Little Butterfly Finding Her Wings!

Bindi, whose name means “little girl” or “butterfly,” is moving on up in the world, and it’s wonderful to watch!

Bindi was found by a volunteer in Las Vegas, New Mexico, begging for food while caring for her five puppies. Kind neighbors helped feed her, and she clearly enjoyed the company of the little girl who often brought her meals. Even while living as a stray, Bindi’s little curly tail would wag when she saw people. It seems her heart for humans never went away!

Fast-forward a bit, and all five puppies have been adopted. Now it’s Bindi’s turn to discover the good life. She’s settling into a foster home and doing amazingly well. She’s rediscovering the simple pleasures of belly rubs, tasty treats, ear massages, and a warm, soft bed. It’s clear that Bindi has known the comforts of life with people before, and she’s happy to be finding them again.

Bindi is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks nicely on a leash. She was initially a little unsure around larger dogs, but after just two days, she began warming up to them. Her feelings about cats are still unknown.

Bindi has only been in her foster home for a few days, so her personality and preferences are still unfolding. If this sweet girl has caught your eye, please reach out to learn more about her. We’re getting to know Bindi, too, and look forward to seeing her continue to blossom!

If you’re interested in meeting Bindi, come to our adoption event on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 11am-2pm, located at 6300 San Mateo NE in the south Sprouts parking lot.

Alternatively, we can arrange a Private Meet-and-Greet with the foster parent and your household with a completed application. Complete an easy, no-obligation online application and take the first step towards welcoming Bindi into your home by clicking on the adopt button
