Max

Athletic dog seeks active family for outdoor fun! Max is a fun, 32-lb, 16-month-old Basenji mix who loves to snuggle when he’s not outside playing. Max loves long walks or hikes and games of tug and fetch. He may be a little shy at first, but he loves to be with people and will happily hang out with you.  Max has received lots of love and training from his foster mom after rescue from being tied out alone in an apartment complex.  He has lived with cats and would probably be ok with a female dog of similar size who is calm in the house but likes to play. Max would love to have a large yard to run and play in, and to have someone who enjoys walking and hiking with their dog.

Max is crate-trained and can tolerate being left alone for several hours, but would prefer to be with his human most of the time. Max is working on not pulling when leash walking.  Sometimes he is afraid of noises, but has shown dramatic improvement since his foster mom got him. Max will need a little guidance so he can continue to progress and reach his full potential as a devoted and loving companion.

Meet Max at adoption events 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 11-2, at 6300 San Mateo Blvd NE, in the south parking lot of Sprouts (Look for the PACA trailer). Please email pacadogs@aol.com to ensure Max will be there.
