About Remi

Remi is an approximately 1 1/2-year-old sweetheart with a heart as big as his puppy energy. Like most young dogs, he’s curious, playful, and always ready for his next adventure. Whether it’s going for a walk, splashing in water, playing with toys (although they don’t usually survive long!), or curling up on the couch for cuddles, Remi is happiest when he’s with the people and dogs he loves.

Remi’s story hasn’t been easy. He was severely abused and abandoned before being rescued, so he can be a little shy when meeting new people. Once he realizes he’s safe, though, he completely blossoms into one of the most affectionate, loyal dogs you’ll ever meet. Watching him learn to trust again has been one of the most rewarding experiences, and he deserves a family that will continue showing him the love he’s always deserved.

Remi is fully potty trained and has done wonderfully with having access to a doggy door. He enjoys spending time both inside and outside and loves having room to play. He’s generally good on a leash and makes a great walking or running buddy, though he may pull a bit when he gets extra excited.

One of Remi’s favorite things is having a canine companion. He does well with most other dogs and truly enjoys having a buddy to play and relax with. He also loves kids and is gentle and affectionate with them.

Remi is incredibly food-motivated and eager to please, which makes him a quick learner. He picks up on routines well and would do great with continued training using positive reinforcement and treats.

Remi would do best in a home where he isn’t left alone for long periods or where he has another dog to keep him company. Like many young dogs, if he’s feeling anxious or bored, he can become destructive, so having appropriate toys, a consistent routine, and continued positive reinforcement will help him thrive.

Remi is currently living with access to both an indoor and outdoor play area while I’m at work, and he has done very well with that setup.
